(PPI Pulp & Paper Week) -
Packaging Corp. of America (PCA) is on schedule to add 550,000 tons of additional containerboard capacity at its DeRidder, LA, and Wallula, WA, mills by the end of the year, the company said at its recent conference call.
DeRidder will be going down next week through the end of February for a second phase of work on the D-3 machine, which was converted from newsprint to 355,000 tons/yr of linerboard and medium at a cost of $115 million in 2014-2015.
