Brazilian pulp and paper producer Suzano on Feb. 5 stated that it acquired 9,500 ha of rural areas in the state of São Paulo belonging to panel producer Duratex, in a deal estimated at Real 308.1 million ($95.2 million).
According to the company, the agreement also involves the option of an additional purchase of approximately 20,000 ha to be done through July 2, for a further Real 749.4 million.
