Preliminary statistics released from the Brazilian Corrugated Board Assn (ABPO) show that the country shipped 272,026 tonnes of corrugated board, sheets and accessories in January, a 5.5% increase over the same month of 2016. The volume is still lower than January 2015, though, when Brazil shipped 277,959 tonnes of corrugated board.
In square meters, Brazilian sales hit 538.9 million m2 in January 2017, or 6.4% higher than a year ago.
